Victoria, BC

After two weeks out fishing we made it back to port in Campbell River. We decided to have one final hurrah polishing off our final bottles of booze.

The following day we bolted down to Victoria to check out the city with a friend living there. With a bit of frolf and kayaking for our final meals of live Dungeness Crab we spend the next few days checking out what the town had to offer. Crossing the boarder by ferry from Victoria, BC to Port Angeles, WA. Finally back in the States after 6 weeks.

Lilliwaup, WA

Visited the Hama Hama Oyster Co. in Lilliwaup for the sixth annual Hama Hama Oyster Rama Festival off the Hood River in Washington. We were lucky enough to get a volunteer position for the day. With an unlimited supply of raw, fried, baked, grilled, and sautéed oysters; I quadrupled my life long oyster intake. With a record breaking 500+ attendees, the event was said to be the best Rama yet. The high energy kept all the employees and volunteers moving for the private after party down at the beach. Fully equipped with all the extras and a fresh keg, we keep the party rolling well past sunset. To everyone's amazement, the Northern Lights traveled a bit further south than usual this night and began dancing through the sky. Waves of polar light flowing over a burning mountain of driftwood was the night capper.

Mount Bachelor, OR

As we heard Mt. Bachelor was still open for some spring shred so we drove to bend to indulge in another day on the mountain.  Met up with Kim and we lucky to get half off tickets for the day to go explore Mt. Bachelor and Bend.  After riding all day we had to go check out some new breweries.  Thoroughly enjoyed Boneyard, Good Life, and had the check out the classic Deschutes.

After Bend we made our way South to see iconic Crater Lake, Oregon on our way down to Lake Tahoe, California.

Lake Tahoe, CA

Brian was stoked to be back in Lake Tahoe as it is off season for tourism.  With the town empty and weather on point, it was time for the locals to play. We took the first half day we got there to rest our weary bones. Jumped right into Beach Volleyball and a good spring touring session out near Kirkwood and a day up at Squaw. With an average season of snow for the Tahoe basin, spring touring will be good for at least another month.
